The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine has funded a $2.7 million grant supporting full time paid internships in Bay Area stem cell research laboratories for City College Biotechnology Program students.
How to apply for the CIRM Bridges to Stem Cell Internship - Internships run August 2024 - June 2025
Details of internship
Duration of each internship is 10 months (Academic school year, August - June)
Full time position, 40 hours/week
Stipend is $3000/mo
The intern is enrolled concurrently as a CCSF student, all fees and registration are paid for by the grant.
The intern must enroll in the required Stem Cell Internship course (BTEC 21D Fall, 21E Spring) as well as Biotechnology Work experience (BTEC 93).
How to become a Stem Cell Intern
Complete the Biotechnology Certificate courses including BTEC21C.
Apply - The application process is competitive, with 8 interns chosen for each 10-month cycle.
