The CAS Stages

The 5 CAS Stages

Students use the CAS stages (investigation, preparation, action, reflection and demonstration) as a framework for CAS experiences and the CAS project.

These stages should be regularly practised throughout the CAS programme. Evidence for all stages should be provided within each CAS experience through reflections and evidence. Don’t wait to document an experience after you’ve started it – include proof that you investigated and prepared for the experience before the action part began. Investigation (brainstorming and research) and preparation are the true beginnings of a CAS experience.
