During Stage 3 the instructional designer creates learning activities that obtain the desired results from Stage 1 and show acceptable evidence as portrayed in Stage 2 (Wiggins & McTighe, 2011).
The designer should start this stage by creating SMART learning objectives. The instructional designer will then use the WHERETO Learning Plan to develop the learning activities.
It's essential that all parts of the WHERETO Learning Plan are aligned with everything in the plan before it.
Completing Stage 3 concludes the UbD process, however the instructor should consistently review, revise, and improve the course design.
