ODDs

The residents of Mirstone aren't just humans from our own earth, even if they appear to be!

Those who aren't passably human are granted a human visage called a Glamour; Cry makes these to be sure every other-dimensional dwellers (ODDs) has their own unique human appearance that help them fit in on Earth.
Glamours are activated by the portal's magic upon entering earth. Physical traits such as wings or gills might be translated to tattoos or scars, and odd colored hair may be dyed when on earth.

Many beings have found refuge and a new life on earth here due to the Beacon Company. Ranging from planets that have been destroyed by the evil forces of the UNION, those allied with us, or areas across dimensions that simply offer civilians resources for it, our ODDs have unique backgrounds that only make our town and company diverse!

QUICK START TL;DR

  • ODDs may be any species.

      • This ranges from media (BNHA, Animorphs, The Magnus Archives, MLP, etc.) to custom made species (Scritches, Hiras, etc.)

      • Please be mindful of what you're taking inspiration from!

  • Origins may be from any location like destroyed planets, allied organizations, or really anything else.

  • All ODD's are granted a human form on earth called a Glamour by Cry.

  • Human forms called glamours are granted by Cry, and must adhere to our human design rules.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process for ODD's is exactly that of a regular from-earth application. However, there are a few unique features that come with the ODD's application.

MRP APPLICATION

  • The left side of the application is your ODD's human glamour. All glamours must be compliant with our human design rules.

  • The right side of the application is for their DTV. The DTV may be a new form or their original. Original forms are NOT new vessels, the body is simply protected from death by Cry.

      • Original forms are not required on the application if the ODD has an actual DTV.

      • The original form meme can be found here.

  • Your character's in-universe stats and abilities are not necessary to write down, as they will not be able to use these in most areas.

      • Don't be the reason we have to rewrite this rule.

  • NOTE FOR THE WRITTEN HISTORY PORTION:

      • Their history will still need to answer the three mandatory questions:

          • How did they end up in Mirstone?

          • How did they learn about the Beacon Company?

          • What inspired them into making the decision to be a part of the Beacon Company?

      • Just note that the timeline might be a little different! In-story, humans of Earth usually move into Mirstone before learning about the Beacon Company. An ODD needs to either be a part of the Beacon Company or a refugee of a destroyed dimension in order to access the portals, so they will learn about the Beacon Company before coming into Mirstone.

          • If they're a part of the Beacon Company, they are able to change stations and have themselves be stationed in Mirstone's Beacon.

          • If they are a dimension refugee, then they can be rehomed in Mirstone and join the Beacon Company from there!
