After the efforts of multiple parties to locate, gain access and deal with the tether out in Astral Sea, the next step pointed to a world not unfamiliar to the travelers in Mirstone. Daian.
Problem is, unlike when they headed out with Captain Padlock, this time there are little to no leads to follow, no coordinates, so a lot of the detective work is left to you. Things do seem to have calmed down since the last time you visited, so there is hardly anything keeping you from your main mission.
Except maybe for the infected, but with a weather and seasons pattern similar to Mirstone, the air feels chillier, people are dressing warmer and the infected that were found on the streets so often also appear affected by it. The elements, frostbite, a conveniently placed body of water for them to fall are just as effective as a ranged weapon right now.
And with the passing of seasons, so come holidays! There is a job to do, but part of it may also be joining in a celebration or two. After the help everyone gave before, the locals would love to have the company! A small breather never hurt anyone, specially not during this season.

Daian still remains in ruin and disrepair, a newly minted tradition to celebrate the holidays is to get together to repair and rebuild, and decorate new spaces for folks to live, and brighten up the otherwise gloomy atmosphere.
The more hands the better, you're all just in time! Flex those creative muscles and help the people of Daian find some holiday cheer.
Depict your traveller(s) helping the locals. Whether it be painting, repairing something, or getting creative in some way.
2.) Back in the fridge.

With temperatures dropping, those infected that stay outside are more easily affected by the elements, slowed down and lethargic with the cold. Looks like the perfect opportunity to take some more into the lab for further studies without much resistance. And since the ever so helpful Beacon Travelers from Mirstone (you) are here for a visit, the scientist are using the chance to ask for a hand!
Depict your traveler(s) bringing back a frosty infected into the labs, catch them, maybe even finding one trapped inside the ice, a zombie popsicle, if you will.Β
3.) On the search.

Now, celebrations and science are all well and good, but there is a mission to focus on here before things escalate. Search around, ask or visit settlements or ghost towns that look abandoned now but may have clues of people recently living there. Search for survivors, people who managed to escape an encounter and have tales to tell, be the ear willing to listen. Who knows, the crazy ramblings may have the information you need.
Depict your traveler(s) searching for leads on the location of the creature, visiting abandoned areas, finding said leads, maybe if they pay attention they too can hear its song.
4.) Keep records of them.

News has spread quickly through Beacon that the located tether from the Astral Sea is linked to a false hydra that's been set loose upon Daian.
You know what's at stake here, it's time to do whatever we can to ensure the memories of Daian's people is not lost.
Help them make records, photos, recover old records, anything that can keep other people's memory alive.
Depict your traveler(s) building archives with the locals. Whether that be acting as a scribe, making lists of names, filling up book shelves full of information, or getting recordings of people so there's evidence they existed, even if the hydra does get them.

[EVERYONE IS GIVEN 2 MONTHS TO COMPLETE THE EVENT TO EARN REWARDS.] That is a lot of time, but if you think you will still be turning in something late, you have until the 10th of the month to submit your creation and receive 1/2 of the reward. After that, we will no longer accept submissions for that prompt unless stated otherwise.
[THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE...] Visual creations (ie. digital & traditional artwork) must submit a colored half-body art and literature must submit at least 1,000 words. Everything will be viewed and read to ensure that the submission addresses the prompt it was made for. If we feel that the submission doesn't quite match the prompt, we'll let you know!
[RP LOGS AND CAMPAIGNS ARE ACCEPTED.] These must at least be 3,000 words. All of the participants will receive the same amount of rewards, so don't worry about figuring out how to split it evenly, haha.
[COLLABORATIONS ARE ALLOWED.] Speaking of which, yes, collaborations are indeed allowed! And you also don't have to worry about splitting the loot equally. Everyone receives the same amount of rewards!
[IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE OF YOUR OWN BEACON TRAVELERS IN THE SAME SUBMISSION...] They will all receive the same amount of rewards since they are participating in the event prompt.
