Examination progression forms part of the trainee’s overall professional development.

Programme Requirement

The curriculum handbook lists:

• FRCOphth Part 1 or MMed Ophthalmology prior to programme completion

Strongly Encouraged

Trainees are also encouraged to undertake:

• Refraction Certificate

• FRCOphth Part 2 Written

Examination progress should be reviewed as part of the trainee’s annual review.
