Congrats everyone once again on an excellent job during A Term! We are officially over one-quarter of the way through the year. Over October break, students participated in a variety of activities on and off campus. Here is a brief report on what everyone was up to:
CyberPatriot
On October 20th, students met to compete in the first CyberPatriot competition of the year. CyberPatriot is a club where students come together to defend several operating systems from cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
STEM Week
Students went to Abby Kelley Foster Charter School on October 16th to volunteer in STEM week. The theme for this week was bird beak adaptations! Each MAMS student joined a group that set up a lesson to teach the Abby Kelley students about engineering and iteration.
WPI Math Competition
WPI hosted the Invitational Mathematics Meet on October 20th where students from MAMS competed for scholarships to WPI. MAMS selected four students to compete, where students completed various challenging questions based on secondary mathematics.
Special Mentions
Other MAMS students did a variety of different activities, from Claire Newcom completing her first driving lesson to Phia Caramanica visiting Cape Cod. Lindsey Paradise embraced her artistic side and crocheted a beautiful hat.
