Scuttle's Gadgets and Gizmos

At the end of Journey of the Little Mermaid, guests will disembark the boats and wind their way around a cavern. At its end is Scuttle's Gadgets and Gizmos, the gift shop exit for the ride and the entirety of Fantasy Harbor.

After the events of The Little Mermaid, Ariel decided to give her life-long friend and fellow hoarder a more permanent residence near her and Prince Eric's castle, hence its proximity to the ride. After the extension of the castle's cellars and discovery of the underground river and its caverns, Ariel managed to convince Eric to leave one empty for her dear friend to move into. As such, Scuttle has moved into the cavern (not full-time, mind you; the island is still there) and is in the process of decorating the place with his collection, which would explain the mess.

The cavern's natural formation is relatively untouched as it wasn't developed by humans. As such, almost everything in the gift shop appears to be naturally formed by the elements or repurposed from flotsam that has washed on the shore. From store racks to lighting elements, the store will have a natural yet eccentric look, perfectly fitting the character who lives in this cavern.

Aside from the typical gift shop features, several items abandoned by the humans have been collected by Scuttle to display around his home: some torn fishnets, a torn sail (perhaps the other half of the same sail found in the queue), a telescope with its looking glass smashed in, and the like.

Scuttle himself could be seen on his nest from time to time in Audio-Animatronic form. Using the technology used in the Mr. Potato Head Audio-Animatronic found in the queues of Toy Story Mania!, Scuttle would interact with guests going around the shop. The conversations would run a gamut: from the "journey" you just experienced, to whatever merchandise item that he seems to think that has caught your eye.

Scuttle's Gadgets and Gizmos will sell classic Disney merchandise, i.e. apparel (themed shirts, jackets, hoodies, accessories, etc.) and souvenirs (novelty toys, phone cases, keychains, etc.). Being the sole retail store on Fantasy Harbor, the store will carry mostly exclusive Fantasy Harbor-themed merchandise, in addition to general Fantasyland-themed ones.

Aside from the store merchandise, guests will be able to purchase their on-ride photos from the store as well. They could either have that printed in-store or link it to their Disney account through Disney PhotoPass.
