Daring Dalmatian Chase

Façade and Queue

The façade of the ride building is Cherry Tree Farm, which is the farm that Roger and Anita move to in order to care for the 101 Dalmatians (and also featured in the movie 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure). In the queue, guests will wind their way through the farmhouse seeing Nanny’s kitchen (and the water and food bowls for the dogs), the living room, and Roger’s office.

Ride Experience

The vehicles used in the ride are similar to the old English ride vehicles of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. As such, each vehicle can hold two people (with a lap bar). The ride layout has a lot of twists and turns (like in Mr. Toad’s) to keep guests guessing as to what is coming next. Guests will experience an all-new story involving their favorite characters from the movie 101 Dalmatians. This story takes place after the movie, so Roger and Anita are now living in their country home, which they had nicknamed the "Dalmatian Plantation."

The first scene is set in Roger and Anita’s new country home. The song “Dalmatian Plantation” is playing in the background. Many Dalmatians--Pongo, Perdita, and some of the younger Dalmatians (although not fully grown yet)--are seen both inside and outside the house. Guests see Roger and Anita with suitcases as they are about to leave on a vacation. Roger says, “Nanny, the dogs will take care of themselves!”

In the next scene, Horace and Jasper are at Cruella de Vil’s home. Cruella explains, “Roger and Anita are away on a trip. Now is the perfect time to get those adult Dalmatians for my fur collection!” In the following scene, guests are back at the Dalmatian house. It is dark and all of the Dalmatians are asleep inside the house with Pongo and Perdita close to the door. The door opens a crack with Horace and Jasper seen outside the house. In the next scene, the dog-nappers are seen putting the muzzled Pongo and Perdita in their black vehicle.

The next scene is a little later when the younger dogs are finding out that Pongo and Perdita are missing. As in the movie, Lucky, Rolly, Penny, and Patch share the spotlight as they listen to the horse named Captain (now owned by Roger and Anita) explain that he overheard the dog-nappers were going to the docks next. The 3 young dogs send the ‘Twilight Bark’ spreading the word that they will meet others at the dock (after they get a ride from Captain).

On the boat, Cruella and the Henchmen are having trouble getting the boat started. Lucky, Rolly, Penny, Patch, the sheepdog Colonel, and the cat Sergeant Tibbs arrive at the boat and wait for the right moment to go on-board. Sergeant Tibbs (being the quietest) finds Pongo and Perdita on leashes, so he takes off their muzzles and leashes while telling them to keep quiet. Colonel creates a diversion by barking at Cruella, Horace, and Jasper. As Jasper picks up a bat, he says he will silence the dog. Meanwhile Cruella has discovered that the Dalmatians are leaving the boat and yells, “After them!” As the villains get to the end of the pier, a police car turns on its lights. The police officer, standing next to Captain, says, “Cruella de Vil, you and these men are under arrest for dog-napping.”

In the next scene, Pongo, Perdita, and all the young Dalmatians are reunited at the country house (with Nanny very happy). In the final scene, Roger and Anita are back at the farmhouse following their vacation. They looked shocked as Nanny points to Pongo and Perdita indicating that they had been dog-napped. Nanny explains that Cruella and those evil men are in jail now. Roger goes to the piano to play “Cruella de Vil” before the ride vehicles pass by “The End” and reach the unloading area.
