The Walrus and the Carpenter's

The Walrus and the Carpenter's is a table service restaurant, focused primarily on seafood and, more fittingly, oysters. Themed to the Alice in Wonderland segment of the same name, The Walrus and the Carpenters provides great food amongst the strange and quirky atmosphere that only Wonderland can provide.

The restaurant is situated on the shores of Fantasy Harbor, and at first seems pretty derelict. The building is built of driftwood and old ship parts. The restaurant's sign hangs off of a ship's bowsprit which has been forced through the front of the building. A large pier patio is situated over the harbor, allowing guests to eat outside and take in the views of Fantasyland and nearby Saludos Beach.

Right next to the restaurant is a small tidal pool, surrounded by a rope fence. Guests who approach the tidal pool may look into its clear waters to see a lone oyster in front of a large "March" calendar. Occasionally, the Oyster will wake up, revealing itself to be Mama Oyster, complete with glasses and sleeping gown. She looks around sleepily before retreating back to her shell. Leading out of the tidal pool is a line of tiny footprints, which twist through the sand, stretching all the way to the restaurant’s front steps.

The inside of the restaurant is even stranger than the outside. Split directly down the middle of the dining room, one half seems to be brighter than the other. Looking out the "windows" guests may notice that it's quite literally "The Middle of the Night" as one half of the dining room is set during the night, and the other during the day with each of their respective windows featuring a large smiling sun or moon, who bob around occasionally over the animated beach. The nighttime side of the dining room features darker color and lighting, with darker wood, and decorations. The daytime side of the dining room features lighter color and lighting with lighter wood and decorations, as well as sunlight peeking through some of the cracks in the building.

The actual decor is equally as shabby as the outside. Shoddily-constructed shelves are hung on the wall, full of cookbooks and other odds and ends. A pair of fishbowls can be found on two of the dining room's side tables. Small, plain chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The tables are plain, though they are covered in surprisingly ornate table cloths. At the back of the restaurant hangs a large, beautiful portrait of The Walrus, in a gold-accented frame. Next to it is a smaller portrait of The Carpenter, in a plain wooden frame.

Guests may also notice that some of the oysters have decided to stay for dinner. They are situated all over the restaurant, from the chandeliers, to the shelves, and even in the fishtanks. They happily look on, blissfully unaware of what's the diners are probably eating. Try to find them all!
