Cathedral Square

Just behind the Castle Courtyard stands Cathedral Square, home to Notre Dame. Join the Festival of Fools, explore medieval Paris, and discover the story of the legendary Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Just past the Castle Courtyard, the pathway opens up again to reveal Cathedral Square. Cathedral Square seems to be perpetually celebrating the Festival of Fools. Banners hang from many of the buildings, multicolored flags hang from poles strategically placed around, and streamers are hung from rooftop to rooftop across the length of the square.

At the center of this celebration is The Carousel of Fools, an ornate carousel featuring an array of topsy turvy animals and statues. To the right is The Court of Miracles, a counter service restaurant with a unique selection of French classics.

Behind the carousel, by the wider pathway leading towards Fantasy Harbor, guests may gather round Clopin's cart and hear The Story of the Hunchback, a one-man puppet show hosted by the King of the Gypsies himself, Clopin.

Of course, the heart, and most striking feature, of Cathedral Square is Notre Dame itself. To the left side of Cathedral Square, the top third of Notre Dame can be seen towering above an outcropping of buildings before it. Here, guests can pass through the alleyways of Paris to reach the cathedral and discover The Legend of Notre Dame, a thrilling E-Ticket based on The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The bells of Notre Dame ring thrice daily - 12pm, 3pm, and 6pm.

Entertainment

Near the pathway towards Fantasy Harbor sits a small, colorfully-painted gypsy cart. Here, guests may stop and watch The Story of the Hunchback, a short puppet show hosted by Clopin.
