ISSUING OF LICENSE TO SELL AND/OR LICENSE TO SERVE TO BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS ENGAGE IN THE SALE AND DISPENSING OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR AND OTHER INTOXICATING BEVERAGES

This service processes and issues License to Sell and/or License to Serve to business establishments engage in selling and serving of beer, liquor and other alcoholic or intoxicating beverages, pursuant to Mandaue City Ordinance No. 14-2018-1340, “An Ordinance Regulating the Sale and Consumption of Intoxicating Liquor in the City of Mandaue.

It is understood that the License to Sell Liquor and the License to Serve Liquor are two separate licenses that can be issued by the Business Permit & Licensing Office.

No person or establishment shall be allowed to sell and/or serve liquor within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Mandaue without obtaining a License to Sell and/or Serve from the Business Permit & Licensing Office.

The License to Sell and/or Serve may be issued provided the business establishment has a valid Business Permit to sell liquor, issued and approved by the BPLO.

The License to Sell and/or Serve shall be posted within the establishment’s premises with a Notice of “NO SALE OF LIQUOR FROM 12: A.M. MIDNIGHT UNTIL 5: A.M. PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 14-2018-1340 AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 14-2018-1382”. Likewise, to cover the liquor display with a black cloth during the prohibition period and it shall be unlawful for any person or establishment to sell or serve liquor to minors. 

The owner or his duly authorized representative has to execute an Affidavit of Undertaking and shall undertake to comply with regulations embodied in Ordinance No. 14-2018-1340 as amended by Ordinance No.14-2018-1382.

The License to Sell shall be free of charge while the License to Serve is charged at Php 75.00 per table.

Considering the prevalence of COVID-19, the business establishments are required to follow the community guidelines set by the IATF and any executive issuances by the Mandaue-LGU concerning selling, serving and consumption of liquor.
