Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation

he became incarnate from the virgin Mary, and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;

in accordance with the Scriptures;

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
‘Epitome Of The One Faith’ (Christadelphian Creed#)
One God, the Eternal Father, dwelling in heaven, in light of glory inconceivable.
One Universal irradiant spirit, by which the Father fills all and knows all, and when He wills, performs all.
One Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, begotten by the spirit, of the Virgin Mary, filled therewith at his baptism, put to death for sin, raised from the dead for righteousness, and exalted to the heavens as a Mediator between God and Man.
Man, a creature of the ground, under sentence of death because of sin, which is his great enemy – the devil.
Deliverance from death by resurrection and bodily glorification at the coming of Christ, and inheritance of the kingdom of God, offered to all men on condition.
Of believing the glad tidings of Christ’s accomplishments at his first appearing, and of his coming manifestation in the earth, as King of Israel and Ruler of the whole earth, at the setting up of the KINGDOM OF GOD;
Of being immersed in water for a union with his name; and Of continuing in well-doing to the end of this probationary career.
# Perhaps termed the Christadelphian Creed and penned by Robert Roberts. This first appeared (as far as I know) in 1896. You will notice some similarity in phrases. It was included in the Bible Companion or tables. Due to some terminology I can understand it falling to disuse (maybe the capital V did it) but it is still sound in its message. Ironically, today the reading tables as printed in England are done so including a “Pocket Epitome” of the commandments of Christ – there seems some reluctance to let go of that word entirely.
