All human are biologically identical according to the geneticists. In fact a group of scientists have gone as far as to argue that the term"Race" should be phased out (Gannon, 2016). The full article can be access via this link or via the original website.  So if this is a scientific fact, then why are different human beings susceptible to different kinds of diseases? 

Let's start as per normal, by looking at some statistics about health.

Learning Objectives

Starting from this lesson, we will start to look beyond the thoughts of the individuals and how these thoughts might have influenced their health behaviours. Rather, we will start to look at how Society would place certain pressure on individuals that will dictate their behaviour. In other words, we will look at this concept that the individuals are often forced by their social environment to behave in a certain ways that may compromise their health decision. We will now move into trying to understand the Social section of the Biopsychosocial Model first introduced in the very first stop of your learning journey here.
