In Chapter 1 we've learnt that how various factors from the Health Belief Model influence how people think, and ultimately their ability to change undesirable behaviour. Similarly, in this chapter we will look at how children's development influence their ability to understand, manage or change health related behaviours. This chapter will give you an overview of key theories in children's psychological development and their relevance to nursing practice.
