A supply shelf streamlines and simplifies the most tedious part of dungeon crawling – resetting after a run. With a supply shelf, you can pre-stock everything you’d need for a run and set a loadout (a pre-set inventory profile) for your character so you can resupply in two clicks or less. The complexity of the menus can make it a bit intimidating, but the sooner you start using the shelf, the better.
A. This window shows the current inventory of the shelf, and you can scroll through multiple pages using the navigation bar in section G.
B. Hitting the restock button and targeting yourself moves items from your backpack and deposits them into the shelf.
C. Set and adjust your loadout profile, item by item.
D. Scroll to other shelf options available to you (more on this shortly).
E. Resupply with one click, refilling your inventory according to your loadout profile.
F. If you have extra shelf profiles unlocked (via character customizations), you can cycle through your profiles here.
G. Check the diamond next to each item to see items of that category (and note the arrow in the right hand corner, which lets you see even more categories).
If you use the button labeled D, you can find other useful settings that will probably make your life easier. Typically, having all of these checked is a good idea.
Use Any Food Type – If you have delectable food in your loadout, it will let you restock from any of the food types (which all provide the same exact benefit).
Downgrade Resources – If your preferred quality of item is not available (such as verehide wizard satchels), the shelf will automatically give you the next highest item in stock (such as a rosehide wizard satchel).
Resupply Runebooks – Automatically refill the charges in your runebooks with recall scrolls from the shelf.
Keep Aspect Items – If you have an aspected item in your bag, it will not be returned to the shelf (saving you the time and costs of reactivating on your weapon).
Keep Poison Weapons – If your weapon is poisoned, it will not be returned to the shelf (poisoned weapons added to the shelf lose their poison charges).
By clicking Edit Loadout (button C in our diagram above), you can set a loadout profile for your character. Once your profile is set, you can do a one-click resupply to gear back up for your next run.
The process for editing your loadout is fairly straightforward. Check the items that you want to include and set the quantity that you need for an average run (avoid overstocking for runs to preserve resources).
Most loadouts should include all of the following:
A weapon (or reagents if you are a blaster)
Bandages (if you have healing or veterinary)
Trapped pouches (for escaping the paralyze spell, two or three are usually sufficient for PvM)
Adventurer’s rope (for a quick teleport in emergencies, five if you are a caster and more if you do not have magery)
Healing potions
Cure potions
Refresh potions
Armor
Delectable food (provides a swing speed and mana regeneration bonus, but if your previous food bonus is still active, return any food you pickup back to the shelf as delectable food can be expensive)
You can see if your food bonus is still active by looking at your status bar. If the number next to the juicy ham hourglass is higher than zero, your food bonus is still active. See the image below for reference.
You don’t have to take the following advice, but at least knowing you have these options can save you some time.
If you single click the shelf, a context menu will appear, giving you the option to restock and/or resupply without having to open the full shelf menu.
If you loot items that can be stored in the shelf (reagents, arrows, bandages, etc.), hit restock and target yourself to dump all of your shelf items into the shelf. Then resupply. This will make sure you don’t accidentally go to your next run with an excess supply of one or more of your items.
When you click restock, you can use the targeting arrow on yourself as well as other containers. This is particularly useful if you have a pack horse full of reagents, for example, making the restock process a bit easier.
If you find yourself constantly fiddling with your loadout because you are switching between different use-cases or echoes, it might be worthwhile to get the customizations that give you additional shelf profiles.
