Your PVM character has 6 major building blocks to take you to end-game content.
Those blocks (and how you improve them) are:
Raw Skill Points (Mostly AFK macroing with some gold grinding)
Codex, Bestiary, Tome, Etc (Experience grinding)
Aspect (Experience grinding and gold grinding)
Strongbox (An unlock that reduces the weight of gold)
Mastery Chain (Experience grinding and society grinding)
Echoes and Character Customizations (Gold grinding)
Your final build will be the culmination of synergies across all of these building blocks, adding up to a damage-dealing, gold-farming machine. To get bonuses from the codex tier, you have to have the right skill points to qualify for the codex. And the aspect you choose to activate will further increase the impact of your skills and codex bonuses. Your strongbox, which can be unlocked twice, reduces the weight of gold so you can be in dungeons longer. Then your mastery chain gives you bonuses to specific parts of your builds, and lastly character customizations can take you to a new level of gold farming.
While this guide’s focus is on major progression systems, some quality of life items such as runebooks (with a runebook bless deed), an inn room (an easy way to get the benefits of owning a house), and a storage shelf or a storage locker for quick restocks are also very helpful, but don’t worry, the guildhouse can provide many of these to all of our members in some form. You’re welcome to use those resources whenever you need them.
We’ll talk more about how to level each system later on, but first let’s explore what each block does and how it works.
