Navigating the aspect menu warrants its own dedicated tutorial.
To access the aspect menu, you can type [aspect, double click the pentagram at the top of your paperdoll, or click through the HELP menu on your paperdoll.
The Aspect menu that opens will look like this:
A. Your current supply of arcane essence, the “fuel” for your aspect.
B. Click this diamond to add essence to your supply (but double clicking the bottles and targeting yourself is probably faster).
C. Choose to maintain the original hue of an item when you activate your aspect.
D. + E. Set how close to zero arcane essence you’d like the client to automatically remind you.
F. This is the weapon row (the aspect you would use for melee weapon or a bow), and it is currently set to the view you will see when you have not unlocked that aspect yet.
G. This is the spellbook row (for activating on your spellbook, surprise), and it is currently set to the view you will see when you have leveled an aspect to Tier 14 and are on your way to tier 15.
H. This is the armor row (guess), and it is currently set to the view you will see for all but the last tier of your journey.
I. The name of the selected aspect and your experience progress toward the next tier represented as a progress bar.
J. Your current experience against the experience required for the next tier with what items you will need to officially advance to the next tier when you get enough experience (one harvest aspect distillation and two harvest cores, in this case).
K. The item requirements for unlocking the aspect. The item on the end that you might not recognize is an aspect kit, a player-crafted item.
L. These 4 lines of text describe the buffs the aspect provides, the total bonuses those buff provide, and a blue diamond that explains how the aspect proc works.
M. An aspect triumph is required to advance from tier 14 to tier 15 and can only be acquired with faction silver (or from a player who used their silver to buy it).
N. You have the option to “turn down” the power of your aspect, ostensibly to reduce your use of arcane essence. No one we know does this, but if you try it you can return to your highest tier whenever you want.
O. Clicking this button activates the aspect for its section, applying the aspect to your spellbook in this case. The activation cost for this is to the right of the button.
P. This opens up a secondary aspect menu that is far easier to use for navigating your current aspects, and I only just discovered it while writing this guide.
There’s a lesson in there about always learning but, like damn dude.
Regardless, that menu looks like this:
As you can see, every aspect I have unlocked is shown in a condensed, concise page, making it much easier to swap button aspects when you have more than one.
