This is worth a rummage, there may be nothing of interest, or a hidden gem. Or perhaps it's really time we threw some stuff away.

This is a wireless link. In extreme circumstances these have been fitted to connect houses that are impossible to get duct to. I think there was a time when B4RN headquarters wasn't actually connected by duct to its own network and was using one of these.
This is a stream. This is an impossible stream to cross. It was part of our original mapped route to cross this.
It rages like a torrent at various times. It has no fault lines in it. There is nowhere where a pole could stretch across and be above the current. This was meant to be the back way in to 4 houses immediately at the beck side. The duct route had to be replanned to include a tarmac cut at the front of the houses.
American Fibre to the home
This is Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA a commercial company installing exactly the same system as B4RN using the same Emtelle ducting, bullets and fibre (fiber). They picked up the idea from over here.
They use the same blowing technique. They use multiduct, but the same 16mm and 7mm tubes as us. They put in a small chamber at every property boundary and householders can take the service if they wish.
It costs about £70 a month, (and £150 for the router and something like £100 installation) for the gigabyte.
You can change the router settings. In particular you might want to change the log-in password. Details here
