RED Letter Day is a Valentine’s Day themed talk that aims to discuss the importance of Respect, Equality, and Diversity. It expounds on these topics by delving into different contexts every year, which focus on relevant and significant situations faced by society.
This event is a platform for participants to garner essential insights and knowledge from resource speakers. Through this, participants become more informed individuals and better agents of respect, equality, and diversity.
This year’s RED Letter Day delved into the different aspects and issues in our society and government that must be corrected and improved on such as (a) lack of LGBTQIA+ representation, (b) ongoing misogyny, and (c) inequalities in the health system.

“RLD 2022 was such a fruitful learning experience for me, and the things I've picked up from that experience, I still carry with me to this day. Obviously, being the project head, I was exposed to and made aware of how org projects and events are done in the Loyola Schools. More importantly though, working on this project really cemented the realization that with all the diverse and valuable advocacies, with all the differing perspectives on each of those, it is our duty as advocates to formulate a crucial stand, and be able to present and communicate it well enough that we are able to evoke a reaction that would lead to further discussions and/or realizations.”
"Despite the restrictions posed by the pandemic, Jywel—my partner—and I made it a point to revolutionize RED Letter Day by exhausting the potential of the resources that were available to us. Technicalities aside, our goal was to create an RLD that will not only speak volumes to its participants but will leave them reflecting on the ripples of change that their votes will create. While we were victoriously able to do just that, I best believe that I speak for both of us when I say that the milestone that RLD 2021 was is because of our team.
To our PMT, much like what Atty. Chel Diokno said, 'Great leaders emulate the values of transparency, accountability, and integrity'—in other words, the innate leaders that each and every single one of you are.
Padayon, mga pag-asa ng bayan!"
“This was the first project of Psyche’s that I really got involved in, and I only really joined because it was advocating for something I felt very passionate about. I hadn’t had any experience with Secretariat work prior to this project, but working on this taught me most of what I needed to equip me for projects and initiatives I joined after. I met more people from the org, jumpstarting some of my closest friendships. I’d say I gained so much more from the experience than I thought, and would highly recommend joining, even if just to try things out.”
