Part-Time Library work for school student - Mangere Otahuhu Library

The opportunity has arisen for students to work as a Library & Council Service Assistant in the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board.
This term we have two available 12hour fixed term positions, that are only available to our youth aged 16-18 that are still currently in school. Flexibility is required as you will be working across the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board Libraries. Scheduled days of work will be discussed where successful.
In this customer focused role, students will be contributing to the day to day running of the library along with the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and customers to enable a great experience. This will also include working closely with our local community through a range of programmes, from children and youth activities including supporting and/or delivering exciting programmes and events that are driven by community need.
We are looking for students who can demonstrate:
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with people from diverse ethnic backgrounds
• Comfortable with technology and able to support customers to successfully use information resources and devices that are available at the library
• Willingness to work with children and young people
• Enthusiasm to work with the library team in delivering programmes and events
• Flexible and collaborative approach to library duties
• Punctual and excellent organisational skills

The role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Civil Construction Apprentice to join our Civils Auckland team.
You'll be employed as an Operator Labourer with an opportunity to gain NZ Certificates in Civils at level 3 & 4 and become a trades qualified person.
Civils Trades Apprenticeships are suitable for all ages and usually take around 2-3 years.
They lead to a nationally recognised Level 4 qualification via a pathway starting at level 2 or 3 and provides a foundation for those looking to upskill, gain recognition for their skills, or get started on their career journey.
The opportunity:

Meet on-site health, safety, environment and quality assurance requirements for work undertaken on an infrastructure works site.
