MITO’s RockUp® micro-credential is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the mining and quarrying industry.

Why the mining and quarrying industry?

• The industry is constantly growing, meaning job opportunities are plentiful - it's hugely important to New Zealand, contributing $3.1 billion to our GDP

• Earning potential is high - the average earnings in the industry are approximately $100,000 per annum!

• There are a variety of qualification pathways, starting at school with RockUp® through to nationally-recognised qualifications for equipment operators, technicians, and managers.

• There are employers across many parts of Aotearoa that have pledged to host a secondary school student in MITO’s RockUp® micro-credential

• There is the potential for the students to transition straight into full-time employment upon leaving school
