PART 1
Step One: Create a working presentation template in Google Slides. This presentation template will be used for the entire project. You will be able to make adjustments throughout the project.
Follow the simple template provided to make sure that you create all of the necessary base pages for your final presentation. You will be adding additional pages as you complete your research, concepts and final presentation.
PART 2
Step One: Research a pattern, it could be from your heritage, art history or from something else like snakes. Include a written description about the pattern and why you chose it. Once you have gathered a pattern or patterns go to step two.
Step Two: Nine sketches: Using whatever tools you are comfortable using (i.e pencil, paper, grid paper, blank paper, marker pen etc.), copy the pattern, adjust it and make it your own pattern. What tweaks can you make to the pattern? Make several renditions of your new pattern. Each time you draw the pattern try and make it neater, cleaner and a little different.
You should have at least 9 different pattern variations.
Step Three: Use a cell phone, digital camera or scanner to get your drawings into the computer.
*The upload MUST be a PDF document. Each part that you create along the way must be presented using your presentation template. You will always include the previous parts and make adjustments to those parts.*
