What: To create a collage of images about you
Why: To help me and your classmates to get to know you
How: Using a collage app (Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop) or google slides
When: Due ______
The collage must include the following imagery:
1. A symbol of where you live now or a place you have been or want to go
2. A picture you took or an example of a type of photography you like
3. Two or more imagery of a hobby or interest
4. Movie, TV, videogame, or book that is a favorite or yours
5. Where you see yourself in the future
6. A background color or pattern
You will be asked to share at least 2 items from your collage Tues/Wednesday
Presentation component = 25% of your grade

Download (right click and save image as) and open the file "Old Photo" in photoshop and please fix the following:
-Straighten the image using the crop tools(5pts)
-Use the adjustments Levels and Curves to remove color cast and restore even contrast(10pts) Flatten the image
-Use the spot healing brush to remove the crease and other blemishes (in the sky on the left, 2nd tree in, areas in the gravel and above Fruita)(15pt)
-Use the patch tool to remove the blurry figure on the left(10pts)
-Use filters Noise>Dust & Scratches and filter Sharpen>Smart Sharpen to sharpen the image. Do not flatten your layers before turning in.
Export as JPG and Save as PSD or you will recieve an automatic 0
For the PSD: Go to File>Save As> Save on your computer.
For the JPG: Go to File>Export>Export As, change the format to JPG
Rename your files Yourname_Project1
Remember to SAVE OFTEN!

MUST INCLUDE:
Answer where is you destination?
Answer what is fun to do there?
What images are you planning to use? (Need at least 5)
What colors are you planning to use? (3-5)

To find license details: Select an image, then below the image, select License details. It is recommend that you always review the licensing requirements of any images you want to use.

Take a self portrait (not a selfie, there’s a difference).
Bring the image into photoshop and scale it to fit 1/4th of your document size and put it in a corner.
Copy and paste the portrait image 3 times to fill in the rest of your document. Use the crop tool to scale your document if needed.
Use Filter>Liquify to adjust each portrait to fit a chosen concept (see examples)
DEGENERATION/////PROGRESSION/////EXPRESSION
Use the adjustment layers to change the color. Remember to right click on the adjustment layer and select ‘Clipping Mask’ to apply to only the layer below.
Dimensions: Start with W-8.5 x H-11 inches (can be cropped and modified depending on your composition)
-1 self-portrait copied 3 x = 4 images total
-All portraits liquified differently to express a concept (progression/degradation, expression)
-Different adjustment layers applied to each with a clipping mask
-A background
Optional: Blurred background, layer styles, text etc.
You will be graded on the following

Use the puppet warp tool to create 1 animation.
-A background (ex. the vet's office)
-An image manipulated using the warp tool (ex. the boxer)
-An added object (ex. the kitten)
-At least 4 layers/changes you manipulated (ex. the movement, using puppet warp)
How to Save:
File>Export>Save for Web(Legacy)>Save...
Also, File>Save As>Save on your computer>Type in .PSD after file name

Requirements: Specs
-Magazine Cover Size: 8.5 X 11 inches, vertical
-Final file format: .PSD & .PDF (export the JPG for the google slides section 3) To get the PDF: in Google Slides go to File>Download>PDF
-Use the following images:
- One main image or a combination of more (e.g. a selection from different ones, a background, other magazine elements, a photo clipping mask)
Include the following text:
-Magazine name with a unique texture using a clipping mask
-Issue number and/or month
-1 Featured article name
-Two or more additional article names
-A catch phrase emerged from the main image (e.g. from behind a building, raising from horizon, etc.)
-Type on a verticle path or a custom path
Generate ideas as a class by making a mind map.

Use a black & white photo of your choosing (you MUST email it to me first before beginning)
Or use one from the folder called "Photo Options"
Directions
Use selection tools, the pen tool, the paths panel, clipping masks, adjustment layers etc.
1. Pen tool- turn it into a selection by right clicking>make selection
2. Add a hue/saturation adjustment layer
3. Check "colorize" in the adjustment panel>choose your color, lightness, and saturation
4. Use the brush tool (black to remove/white to add) to add or remove to the selection

Submit the .psd & .jpg file formats. Do NOT flatten your layers.

1. Create an 8.5 x 11 inch document in Photoshop for print.
2. Use a combination of flower pictures to create a unique bouquet with selection tools, adjustment layers, warping etc.
3. Use the mixer brush tool to give the bouquet the appearance of a watercolor painting.
4. Use any other adjustment layers or layer styles as you see fit

If you are interested in doing something other than a bouquet or another style other than watercolor, let me know what your idea is and we can see how it could fit for the requirements.
