Final

Fantasy Vacation

Final:

Google Slides documenting your process

  • The images you plan to use (need at least 8). Including 1 action shot of yourself.

  • The sketch of your idea

  • The final product

Photoshop File Specs:

• Format: 8.5x11inches for print

Requirements:

• Use 8 or more photographic images, including at least 1 of yourself. All photos must be copyright free.

• Final composite should be a surreal scene telling a compelling visual story. The outcome should be a "scene" in which all visual elements seamlessly exist in a surreal photographic moment. Dali's paintings are good inspirations for this project. Do not create a "collage" look.

• Use Photoshop techniques to isolate select objects from source images; to scale, color adjust and place the objects into their surreal scene with a shared virtual environment.

• Demonstrate your understanding of pixel dimensions and resolutions. You can scale down your source images, however it is not recommended to enlarge any of them. This is to avoid inconsistent pixelation levels and to ensure all objects in your final composite appear to be in a shared moment, not arbitrarily pasted together.

• Use filters and/or effects, if necessary, to enhance the connection between objects. E.g. adding a shadow can make an object appear belonging in a background; adding an outer glow to an object to make it’s lighting consistent with other objects; using a liquefy filter to make an object morph into another object.

Objectives:

• Use Photoshop to execute your creative composite

• Demonstrate your comprehension of skills learned in previous lessons

• Deliberate and use appropriate options when: - Choosing images - Cropping and scaling images - Using Selection tools - Refining Masks - Using the Liquify other filters - Appling image, color and lighting effects - Using feathering - Using layer options including opacity and blending modes Grading Notes: • You will be graded based on technical skills as well as creativity.

• Keep all your layers. Do NOT flatten your layers. Flatten file submissions will result in failing the assignment. Please submit both JPG and PSD file formats.

  • Turn in the google slides by going to file>Download>PDF
