In an effort to get to know everyone better and increase our teamwork, we have created a Global map of Arrowheads!
We are tracking everyone's time zone in relation to Game Time (GT) which follows UK time and is usually the same as GMT or GMT +1 during daylight savings time. We have also included the City and Country when known; this is an International team that spans the globe and it's interesting to see how many countries are represented.
Gather around the campfire all, it's story time. Our guild has a long history, hundreds of people have graced our halls and helped build it, and we'll celebrate our 10 year anniversary in 2024!
Few are still around from near the beginning of Arrowheads, and fewer still remember that the original founder was markbaird88. The guild was founded sometime in June 2014, but I (Ariana) joined at the end of August 2014, bringing a small but awesome crew from our former guild, The Ninth Legion.
Shortly after we joined, the leadership fell apart: Fletch1956, who had just been appointed as a leader the week before, and Narges333, another very active member, both left to join a top tier guild on the fast track to breaking into the top 10 overall. The previous GvG leader, Jackleft, went inactive and was not heard from again. And markbaird88 was also on limited ability to login and do anything with the guild.
So after a short 2 weeks in the guild, I was appointed 9/14/2014 to take over as leader, by virtue of speaking up to say "Hey, you need to do something, engage with the members before more leave, and bring in more leaders" which then became my job since I suggested it! And I asked to appoint Dejavu to lead our military and provide backup for me.
Around 6 months later, 4/13/2015 Founder rights were officially transferred to me. Innogames has a policy that once a Founder has not logged in for 30 days, the rights are given to the next highest ranking member of the guild. I inherited the guild I had been leading for months, in the absence of nearly all those who first started it.
In that time, we had clawed our way up from obscurity to be a new force on the global maps, achieved a guild rank of 11, and an overall rank of 65 among all guilds. Good progress considering most of us were in EMA when we started this journey; we had no million point (or experienced) players, and we were all relatively new to the game and still learning.
Years later, we are a level 100 guild and consistently among the top guilds in Cirgard. We have established ourselves as both a strong moral compass of fair play and a force of persistence. Persistence has another name among those on the receiving end of our attention, lol. We should all be proud of the way we have grown and evolved into the beautiful cities we have today - and most of all, for sticking together as a team through everything.
