ABBREVIATIONS
Forge of Empires (FoE) has it's own language and those of us who have been around a long time know all of the abbreviations we use, but all the shorthand can be very confusing to new players or those who have English as a second language. Below is a list of common abbreviations specific to FoE, and some that are just common to internet chat.

EMA - Early Middle Ages

GvG - Guild vs. Guild (global guild map, now removed from the game.)
NPC - Non Player Character (white sector on GvG map not owned by any guild)
DA - Defense Army (in GvG sectors)
SA - Siege Army (in GvG fighting)
HQ - Headquarters
GE - Guild Expedition
BG / GBG - Guild Battlegrounds
PvP - Player vs. Player (Neighborhood attacks)
FP / fps - Forge Points
HOF - Hall of Fame (special building for your city, produces guild power)
SOH - Statue of Honor (earned from Battlegrounds participation)
BP / bps - Blueprints for Great Buildings
GB / GBs - Great Buildings
WL - What's Left or Wish List or Waiting List (on 1.9 thread)
