Stipends

Types:

There are generally two types of stipends: Contractual Stipends and Project Stipends.  

• Contractual stipends are set rates in the AEA Unit-A contract.

• Project stipends are at the principals' discretion.

Application:

All contractual stipends are annual appointment and must be posted annually.  Anyone may apply for any stipend every year.  Principals usually make the selection if more than one person is interested.  

Review:

A stipend commitee made up of AEA members and administators meets annual to review the stipend list.  Please email the president if you are interested in participating.

Hourly Work:

Some workshops, extra work beyond the school day, and summer curriculum work are paid at a workshop rate of $40/hour, or $280/day.  These must be approved by the building principal or other direct supervisor.
