The School Services Advisor (SSA) and SSEO will review the report for completeness and communicate with the school and the evaluation team leaders about any issues.
The School Support & Evaluation Officer (SSEO) also prepares a summary evaluation of the school’s report and discusses this, as necessary, with the evaluation team leaders.
The CIS accreditation cycle is a five-year cycle. All CIS member schools can apply for accreditation. A new member school is expected to begin the CIS accreditation process within two years of becoming a member, unless your school is already accredited by another recognized international agency or has a verifiable external quality assurance process in place. The rubrics show CIS’ expectations for each stage of a school’s development. Rubrics allow your school to monitor its progress through the accreditation cycle and identify goals for future development. Each rubric contains criteria that exemplify minimum expectations for each stage of the evaluation and accreditation cycle. In the Self-study stage, your school community will identify your own strengths and areas for growth. The Self-study process typically lasts between 12 and 18 months, allowing time to identify issues and act to begin to resolve them. These standards are statements against which your school measures its alignment by discussing across all stakeholders and gathering relevant evidence to justify its assessment of alignment.
