(summer 1225-Autumn 1226)
Karl was beeseeched by the Magi to act on behalf of the boy Valdimir, he sought out the two witnesses, (Bjorn and Helga) and interviewed Valdimir himself.
Having established that neither of the two witnesses actually saw the attack on the outlaw Gullvig, and, strongly suspecting that it was merely that he was gifted, Karl readily agreed to act on his behalf. Gullvig's original crime was cattle rustling and was banished - if did not go he was to be deemed an outlaw.
He sweated long and hard over his defence, and put all of his oracular skill into swaying thr Jury. They were only barely convinced, and a weregild or 60 marks of silver was levied. Vincent will attend to this.
Karl then accompanied the trip to Ireland on the request of Valdimir, as he seemed to be the only one who didn't seem weird, and who cared for him as a person, whilst in Qui Sonant, Karl was enraptured by the songs, and prefomed a few of his own poems to the delight of all.
Upon return to Aoide, the Karl, Vincent and Orlaith were shocked (but not surprized) to learn of Valeri and Martin's recent injuries, but pleased to learn that Gunther had resolved to learn some healing spells for future use.
The Cats Maahes and Auliros were pleased to attend the Magi after the Autumnal Equinox, and, after being given casting tokens, were delighted by the reception Opera recited by Tethys.
Conversation ranged widely over many philosphical topics, and a very agreeable time was had by all. Pumillius was especially charming and hardly drooled at all.
While Martin was waiting for Valeri to heal, he asmused himself reading up on Magic Lore, and, once Valeri was up and about in the following spring took him Vis hunting where the met with some small measure of success:

The first kill of the eagle Commanding the Slopes of Helgafell (holy Mountain) after each nesting season contains 3 Pawns of intellego Vis. The Eagle will give this up for another carcass of greater size (typically a goat will do)

At the end of the summer, around the equinox, spectral birds seem to fly about in the sky, irridescent in all manner of colours. If their feathers can be captured before they hit the ground they will yield 3 Pawns of Imaginem Vis
Vis Source Found: Autumn 1226
The first ice to form on lake Frostastaðavatn in the winter contains 2 pawns of Rego Vis. The lake is sheltered from winds somehow, and no ripples ever form on it.
