Summer 1241:
The Eggs are due to hatch!
A respectful audience gathers at the mud pool, and just before dawn Pan Caudrax swoops down and starts watching the eggs.
As dawn breaks, racing from the opposite horizon streams a beautiful multicoloured serpent, who dances high over the plains, scintillating patterns covering the entire sight. Pan Caudrax sings, and the other joins in. Their song covers the eggs, and they hatch. There is a burst of light and in their place are three baby humans.
Pan Caudrax inform the magi that their names are
Ahnah
Qilaq
Iluliaq
and, as requested, they will mature as normal humans. They are not to be told of their draconic heritage until they are magi.
Gunther presses Pan caudrax on this last point, but is ignored. Gunther and Karl get the impression that it was not Pan Caudrax's decision to make...
(the song is not in a language that any in the party recognize but Wepwawet *thinks* he hears words that might have been borrowed from greek into latin (wepwawet knows no greek) but he could be mistaken)
[All magi observing this get to roll as if they had spent a season studying Muto and season studying Imaginem in a +3 Aura. This XP is only available if they spend the next season contemplating it and nothing else {Valeri This includes you!}]
Luckily Orlaith thought to bring goats as wet nurses (or as goats if they were going to be left as dragons and got hungry), and they precess back to the covenant being entranced by their new charges. All except pumillius who cannot stand the mewling of children. He will be pleased to see them once they can listen properly.
The next season is the Gauntlet of Brigit!
Autumn Equinox 1241:
Brigit's Gauntlet is to successfully excocise the demon Hetep from within her. She is teleported to a few miles north of Newcastle, and starts to trudge north.
The Magi keep watch over her via the enchanted mirror that relays what her eyes see.
It is raining and as night draws in she stumbles and collapses on the floor. Immediately she regains her feet in an awkward manner and the landscape abruptly changes.
She has gone back to Vindolanda. She quickly enters the first stage, and the mirror fades to silver.
The Magi teleport over and find that it is not so easy to get in as lat time. The eventually force themselves through by leaping using an arcane connection to brigit, and they appear on the (familiar) first level of teh regio. Brigit turns to see them, and vanishes.
A the same time the magi are met with swarms of demonic rats, which are quickly dealt with by Pumillius's Powerful Perfidic Peon Pulverizer (a wand of DEO with group target and -10 might per casting), and they eventually catch enough breath to try to leap to the next level.
They encounter a bit more resistance on this leap, but Gunther manages to get through first. He encounters the level closest to the massacre; there are bits of dying broken bodies everywhere, and the sounds of screams and moans echo from just out of reach. He is in a hall, and enthroned at the opposite end is a putrid figure who promptly vomits over him.
The disgusting fetid liquid is foiled by the wizard's sidestep, and Gunther manages to get a blast from Pumillius' Pragmatic Profane Potentate Pummeler (A wand of DEO with single target and oodles pf penetration).
The others slide in over the next few rounds, and eventually the disgusting creature is finished off by Orlaith surrounding it with a sphere of Lava.
They chase the sound of screams out of the hall, and see Brigit step through a trilithon that is being suspended by shadows. As she passes through, the shadows start deliquescing, and the gate collapses.
They quickly destroy the shadows and (more) swarms of demonic mice, and Orlaith manages to levitate the capstone back into position. Whilst this is happening the mirror shows Brigit's vision being obscured by water, which then vanishes, and fades again to very poor visibility.
They charge through the gate, and Pumlius and Orlaith explore the immediate environs, while Martin and Gunther leap to Brigit's position.
She is scrambling in the silt as they find her, and then she collapses with her hands still buried. They pull her out, and in the gap they can see a disfigured hand. Martin gives it a whack with his hammer, and it disappears and a body-shaped part of silt behind it sags slightly.
Gunther manages to ReCo some of the flesh on Martin's hammer into a usable form to act as an Arcane Connection, and tries to leap after whatever it was, but the spell fizzles.
When everyone is calm again they take stock of events.
Brigit is shell-shocked, but free of demonic influence
The Ghost of Elaised (whose sanctum this is) is summoned, and gives an account of the last few moments of her struggle with an unknown invader. She caused the dome above to collapse and let in the sea. She is then put to rest in a christian fashion.
The Lab appears to be on the sea floor near the isle of Lundy. There is a Library whose contents were shielded from the effects of water, and contains the following spells [all in her personal code, and so they have not been added to the library by Bob. They will need to be transcribed....]

Cr(Re) Au 30 Sanctuary Beneath the Waves. (creates air in a chamber)
There are also two books in Latin on Egyptian language (Summa level 4 Quality 6), and Assyrian Language (Summa Level 3 Quality 6). These *have* been added to the Library.
From various notes it appears that the Dome, if it were restored would be an excellent place for Hermetic Theurgy (+5 to casting totals), and a freshwater spring bubbling up in the centre used to give 12 pawns of Intellego Vis a year (this is currently not working).
Over the course of the next season Orlaith and Fr Micheal tend to the Vindolanda site to make sure that the dead get a proper christian burial. They suspect that the Infernal Regio will start to fade back to magic on a time scale of order of decades.
Vincent recalls that there was a covenant in South Loch-Legan that was trying to hawk off a dodgy source of Infernal Mentem Vis a few decades back. If he move quickly he can act as a naive dupe, and take the source off their hands before it become noticed that the infernal aura is gone.
Gunther offered to Apprentice Brigit so that she should get a Gauntlet through House BOnisagus. Brigit demurred stating that she wanted to do this properly. Orlaith pointed her towards the covenant of "The Paruchia of St Nerius" on Little Saltee, and island five miles off the wexford coast. They are a group of Holy magi. She also mentioned how difficult it would be to become a Tytalus without a Tytalan master.
Off stage Victor asks Fr Micheal to take is final confession and he wishes his pride had not caused so much suffering. He then passes beyond the veil.
Next session will be Ages away in Rel time, and I am open to suggestions as to what people want to pursue next.
