1.1 Curriculum
The curriculum at UNP Labschool follows the K-12 educational system as mandated by the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines. This curriculum is designed to prepare students for higher education, employment, and entrepreneurship by providing a comprehensive foundation across various subjects.
The K-12 curriculum is divided into several key stages:
Covers Grades 1 to 6 and focuses on fundamental skills in subjects like Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino, and Social Studies. It also includes Music, Arts, PE, and Health (MAPEH) to develop well-rounded skills.
Encompasses Grades 7 to 10 with an expanded focus on core subjects and new topics like Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) and additional science and math courses. Junior High School also introduces students to higher-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Includes Grades 11 and 12, where students choose specialized tracks based on their interests and career goals. UNP Labschool offers strands such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences), ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management), and TVL (Technical-Vocational-Livelihood).
The curriculum is competency-based, aiming to equip students with skills relevant to real-life situation and aligned with national standards, ensuring graduates are prepared for their future paths.
