Kerala is connected by its waterways, it also connects the subcontinent to the world with its ancient trade links and eventually the intermingling of cultures. Languages travelled to take many forms, food mixed to create a milieu of flavours, our visual, textual as well as sensory perceptions took a new direction. All this meandered beautifully like the waterways of the beautiful state These living arteries make our intellect pulse. These waterways become the tapestry stories on trade, power, food and culture. 

‘Boatcast’ is a self-explanatory portmanteau. A series of conversation that happens on a boat, typical to Kerala, which travels through different parts of Kerala taking some conversations along with it. It will be moderated Zahir Mirza, a media veteran, an artist dabbling in the digital connection space.

കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ ജലപാതകൾ ഉൾനാടുകളെ ഉടനീളം ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയും വ്യാപാരത്തിൻ്റെയും സാംസ്കാരികവിനിമയത്തിൻ്റെയും നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളിലൂടെ ഉപഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തെ ഇതരലോകവുമായി കണ്ണിചേർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. രുചികളുടെ, കഥകളുടെ, ഇന്ദ്രിയാനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ, സമൃദ്ധമായൊരു ചിത്രപടം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ഭാഷകളും ഭക്ഷണവിഭവങ്ങളും കലാസങ്കേതങ്ങളും ഈ ജലപാതകളിലൂടെ ഒഴുകി. വാണിജ്യം, അധികാരം, സംസ്കാരം എന്നിവയുടെ ചരിത്രധാരകൾ കണ്ടെടുത്ത് ഈ ജൈവധമനികൾ ചലനവും ധിഷണയും കരുപ്പിടിപ്പിച്ചു. 

ജലപാതകളെ അരങ്ങാക്കുന്നതും ബോട്ട്കാസ്റ്റ് എന്ന വാക്കിനാൽതന്നെ സ്വയംവിശദീകരണക്ഷമവുമായ ഈ സംരംഭം, കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ തനതുവള്ളങ്ങളിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഒരു സംവാദപരമ്പരയാണ്. മുതിർന്ന മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകനും ഡിജിറ്റൽ കലാകൃത്തുമായ സഹീർ മിർസയുടെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലുള്ള ഈ വീഡിയോ ആവിഷ്കാരം കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന സ്ഥലജലങ്ങളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു.  കേരളീയനദികളുടെ വളഞ്ഞുപുളഞ്ഞൊഴുക്കും അവ ഉൾവഹിക്കുന്ന പരസ്പരാവിഷ്ടചരിത്രങ്ങളും മാറ്റൊലിക്കൊള്ളുന്ന ഈ രൂപമാതൃകയിലൂടെ, ബോട്ട്കാസ്റ്റ്, യാത്രയെ സവിശേഷായൊരു ആശയവിനിമയോപാധിയായി പരിവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
