Warm Greetings to all & Happy New Year!
My hope is that you had a relaxing and blessed holiday!
It was wonderful to spend time with family and friends, but this time of year carries both joy and sadness. Please know how much you are all loved and thought of each and every day-not just in December!
Please enjoy this poem, Song for the New Year, written by Eliza Cook.
Again, Happy New Year to all!
Warm Regards,
Tracey

JOIN THE CHALLENGE!
Altrusa International's Literacy Challenge
Altrusa International's President has challenged all clubs to think of ways to get books in the hands of children. Ellen has also challenged our club to donate 500 books this year. Right now, our club members have given 297 books to either REACH, Green Run Elementary or as gifts to family members or friends. Now besides service hours, District and International is asking clubs to keep a record of donated books I’ll keep a record of Club donations but ask you to keep a record of personal gifts or donations of books. We can include that number in our total. Looks like we’re off to a great start!

Annual Bazaar
I would like to thank all of you for coming together to make our bazaar so successful! It's great to have money to fund our worthy community projects.
Marcia was a trooper processing all bazaar sales on our card. We're so appreciative for the print out cards and flyers regarding our organization, she did the night before. Gina's soup was delicious and we didn't have to go out for lunch. Each of you provided your time, talent and contributions and that's why it was so great. I am so proud of you for assisting me as chair. In the end, June and Jennifer volunteered to take all leftovers from the regifting to be donated.
Please view the final financial report below from our treasurer Kathy Dalby.
