Blessed Lore

The people of Aeslatopia have a deep belief in the Ancients, or, the animals that lived before them. These Ancients have the power of nature, only growing or shrinking based on how many believe and how strong that belief is.

These Ancients have granted the people of Aeslatopia with the blood of the original Ancients, the Gods. While magic and powers does not apply, the gift given is the gift of the Blessed. These blessed are all similar, although every clan has a specific name for them.

Dire

The Dire is the ancient blood given to a wolf. They are much stronger and faster than a normal wolf, but it comes at a price. If they should be around a battle, they have a chance at a horrible blood lust over taking them. They are revered as the strongest warriors, but also feared. When their curse of bloodlust takes hold, their families aren't even safe. The bloodlust curse is only calmed by time, the ancients, or the one that holds their heart.

When bloodlust, or Bloodrage as it was once known as, takes over, the eyes of the Blessed, or Cursed, will glow.

Common Dire traits are as followed.
Size: Around6ft tall at adulthood (height can vary a few inches, and females are generally smaller than males)
Weight: Around 800 lbs
Eyes: neon- blue, green, yellow. Red. Black. Heterchromia is fairly common.

As for breeding, the Dire blood has a 1/2 chance at passing on, so for a litter of 2, one can be Dire, or none at all, or even the entire litter. If a pup is born without the Dire trait, their pups can still inherit it.

The Dire trait Can be taken from a wolf by the ancients by either punishment (the entire bloodline will lose the trait) or by request (the wolf can ask to be turned normal and can never take the trait back, but their children can still have the Dire trait)

Feral

Ferals are the equivalent of Dires, only feline form. They are a lot like saber toothed cats and tigers, faster, stronger, and larger than regular large cats.
