Career Exploration Project

The Career Exploration Project is a shadowing capstone project that provides NOCA students the opportunity to shadow one to three careers of their choice for a total of 18 hours. Juniors complete research and secure the scheduling of the location, dates and times for the shadowing experience. Shadow site sponsors verify a timesheet and complete an evaluation of the student’s performance. Students reflect upon their experiences, complete a journal documenting their participation and share the finished product with their fellow students in dynamic groupings. All students are required to complete a Career Shadowing Project as part of their high school graduation requirements at NOCA.
