Happy New Year! It was so great to see everyone's smiling faces as we heard all about the wonderful adventures they had over break.
We have jumped right back into learning and even finished the week with a quick pop quiz on the metric system. Next week we begin our journey through the trenches of volume.
We had a big week in Science, learning about the rock cycle. Students were introduced to plate boundaries, the types of movement that occur there are being asked to keep an eye on current events to see different earthquakes that are happening around the world. We finished the week with an airhead lab to show the different types of rocks and what is needed to help them move through the rock cycle. Check out some of our pictures below.
As we look to next week, we will be diving into the hydrosphere, researching people who have changed the world in a positive way, exploring the ins and outs of nonfiction, and exploring the 13 colonies .
Have a wonderful weekend!
