Thought this was a pretty cool app for measuring groups etc. It was $7.99 for iphone apps. I applied this app to my best target and Doc Pardee's target and was tickled at the results!!!

NOTE: I made an error in Doc's "black box" measurements but corrected them in written data form

Jan 2019, Starting Off Big!!!

News Year day I decided to go for the gusto! Target says 260 yards but it is actually 265 yards. This will be the start of my load development for 265 yards that will eventually lead up to the Golf Ball hits video. Some high pressure loads using IMR-4227 and the Marlin 1894CB

Certainly not off to a good start and a bit discouraging but not surprised with a 240gr bullet and using a 1-36" twist rifling.

Although I can't find my load data and date for this target, I am pretty sure I was using a 200gr hard cast Magma bullet and IMR-4227 and before adjusting the scope for POA

By 6 April 2019, I was hitting golfballs at 265 yards. Regardless of the hits or misses, the groups (according to the video footage) was grouping less than a 12" x 12" area and in this case, 6" groups.

The following target photos consist of only two targets. The first target is Target #8-17-19-2. This target was used for the "first" 10 shot group. (Target 8-17-19-2 shots were marked on the -3 target as black dots representing the very first group and labeled as "D" hits on the last photo.) Rather than continue shooting, I adjusted the scope and set up the second target...Target #8-17-19-3. Target #8-17-19-3 is shown three times after each ten shot group as 8-17-19-3, Groups 1, 2 and 3.

The first target (-2) shows shots 1-10, the second target (-3) shows shots 10-30.
