Print and use the Gratitude LEGO Brick Game document template, one for each student. Then read one prompt aloud, and then have students select the identified color of LEGO brick that coincides with the prompt. Each student will then reflect and document their gratitude response(s) on page two of their document template. Students can have more than one answer, and collect a second same colored LEGO brick, yet they need to also record their second answer on their document template.
After all prompts are read and students have collected their accumulated colored LEGO bricks, they will now be tasked to build the ultimate gratitude structure. This structure will physically and visually represent their responses to their individual prompts to represent a gratitude story.
Next, break students into small groups, and each student will share their “gratitude structures” and stories amongst their team members. All structures will be displayed for all to see through either a gratitude virtual slideshow or a face-to-face gallery walk display or digital Eduprotocol show and tell to celebrate the gratitude in each of your student's lives. *Bonus: Here are more bonus activities to have your students celebrate their unique individual selves through this student-centered booklet.
