TRUE SPORT
True Sport’s programs and initiatives give people the means to leverage the many benefits of sport from a platform of shared values and principles. True Sport is dedicated to the notion that good sport can make a great difference. It is True Sport’s mission to deliver programs and initiatives that:
Enable participants, parents, coaches and officials to articulate and act upon their deeply held belief in the virtues of good sport
Enable participants, parents, coaches and officials to identify with others holding similar values
Create a fair, safe and open atmosphere where good sport can grow stronger through inclusive competition at all levels.
To achieve these goals, we promote seven True Sport Principles to strengthen our communities and increase our opportunities for excellence on and off the field of play: Go For It, Play Fair, Respect Others, Keep It Fun, Stay Healthy, Include Everyone, and Give Back.
SAFE SPORT
The 2023 Canada Games Host Society, the Canada Games Council, Team Sask and National Sport Organizations are committed to providing participants an environment free of maltreatment. Are you a victim of abuse, harassment or discrimination in a sport environment? Have you witnessed an incident? The Canadian Sport Helpline is a free, anonymous, confidential and independent service in both official languages. You can reach them by phone, text or email.

To help promote a safe environment at the 2023 Canada Games and the availability of the Canada Sport Helpline for participants who wish to seek assistance about a situation or incident, please watch this information video for more information.
MENTAL HEALTH
Participants will be able to access mental health support at the Polyclinic or reach out to Lisa Hoffart, Team Sask's Mental Performance Consultant. Lisa is available by sport or indivual appointments at:
