FOOD SERVICES

SPORT DIETICIAN | Heather Hynes is the Sport Dietician for Team Sask. She is available to assist Team Sask participants with any food-related issues (allergies, intolerances) or questions. 


MENU | The menu for the Games has been vetted by an accredited Sport Dietician and takes in to consideration food allergies, intolerances, and the caloric needs of performing athletes. 

 When it is predetermined by the sport schedule that a team is unable to return to the Athletes’ Village Dining Hall for their scheduled meal time due to competition, a venue lunch service is made available for those participants.   

Sports with all Meals at Main Dining Hall (no venue feeding): 

Badminton, Hockey (Male & Female MLA Games), Long Track Speed Skating (Atlantica), Wheelchair Basketball   

Sports with Box Lunches:

Artistic Gymnastics, Figure Skating / Special Olympics, Mixed Curling, Ringette, Short Track Speed Skating                                                            

All box lunches must be preordered by the Mission Staff 48 hours in advance using the Google Form. Only the sports listed above can order box lunches. 

Crabbe Mountain:

Alpine & Para Alpine Ski, Freestyle Ski

A box lunch will be available for pick up prior to bus departure daily.

Sports with Venue Feeding: 

Alpine Ski, Archery, Biathlon, Boxing, Cross Country Ski, Curling (Male & Female), Fencing, Freestyle Ski, Gymnastics - Trampoline, Hockey (Male & Female CUP, EVG, TIG, TVA, OLR Games), Judo, Karate, Snowboard, Squash, Table Tennis

 All sport venues will have water, Gatorade, an energy bar and selection of fruit available in the Athlete Break Areas.    

 DINING HALL | The Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall is centrally located very close to the the athlete dorms, clearly signed and accessible to all accredited participants.

Hours of Operation

NOTE: All food must remain in the dining area. No dishes are permitted to leave the dining hall at any time. All participants must clear their own plates and cutlery and place into bins. Recyclables and garbage must be placed into separate, clearly marked bins at the exits. All coats and bags must be checked at the bag area before entering the food and beverage area. Participants are encouraged to keep their bag check items to a minimum to prevent delays and misplaced items.

WATER | Athletes are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to venues and the dining hall for feeding times. There are water bottle fill stations in all venues and a limited number of reusable cups.
