In Year 2, children conduct fieldwork in the immediate area surrounding Vale School to investigate how the local roads got their names. They collect data by labelling a map with the names of roads and anaylse this data to draw conclusions about why the roads have been given their names.
In Year 4, children conduct fieldwork to investigate the physical features of a river and its changes over time. Children make predictions, collect data to measure its flow and see how the river fits into the wider landscape.
