Technology Integration Ideas
Have students look at the Screentime app on their iPads to see the apps that they have used most over the past week or so. Discuss with a partner? Do they feel they have balance with their use of the device?
Students can set goals and set restrictions for themselves using the app to set time limits to help develop a healthier media balance.
Have students track their media use or amount of time used (over time or from the Screentime data) and then use the Sheets or Numbers app to record the data and create charts and graphs from the data. This activity would connect well to a Math unit focused on Data Management.
Introduce students to using Google Calendars to stay organized and make plans they are focused on being balanced. They can put in their school schedule, other activities and intentionally include plans for things they can do to develop balance and well-being. This can make a strong connection with working with the Mindfulness Coordinator.
