Technology Integration Ideas

• Using an app like Notability, Google Docs, Google Slides, Pages, Keynote or SeeSaw, have students capture a screenshot of a chosen news article and then annotate and highlight the different parts of the article according to what they learned during this lesson
• Have students in your class collaborate to write a news article to share with the school community. This could be included in the weekly eBrief or school website. Choose a topic connected to Digital Citizenship from one of the other lessons and write an article informing the parent community about this topic and offer advice. This article could be written in an app like Google Docs which allows for collaboration and editing tools such as commenting and adding suggestions
• Have your students take turns in small groups throughout the year to contribute to the class blog in SeeSaw. They could use their knowledge of how to write a good article to write about what the class learned during that week.
