Technology integration ideas
This lesson would integrate well into a unit where the focus is on doing research on a specific topic
Students can learn the importance of citations and learn how to create citations in their work
Apps like Book Creator, Keynote, Pages, Google Docs, Slides and Notability could all work well for conducting research and creating a research report.
Book Creator is a good app to create a digital book which can include content from other apps as well as student narration
Google Docs can be used collaboratively and the Explore tool allows students to research within the document to cite information they use from various online sources. It also has templates that students can use for writing a research report.
Keynote also supports collaboration and has a number of templates. You could consider combining apps such as using Keynote for good design and then importing into Book Creator to make the content more interactive by adding voice narration which can be turned on for readers who struggle with reading the text
Other apps like Popplet can be good as well for brainstorming ideas and finding connections. This can be saved and inserted into one of the other apps above.
