Technology Integration Ideas

• Using an Apps like Pic Collage and the Camera, you can have students create and edit a selfie to convey key things they want others to know about them or to create an Avatar.
• For any students who do use any online sites where they share information about themselves, have them go to check to see if the information shows them in a positive way while also protecting their online privacy
• Students could draw a selfie and then bring in into an app like Pic Collage or the Photos app to edit it to convey how they want to be seen by others. Students could consider using their image as the avatar they share as their profile photo in SeeSaw or in their GSUITE accounts (with teacher and parent approval). Students can experiment with filters and other editing tools, to see how they impact how they are seen by others.
• Working with an Art teacher, you could have students take a photo of themselves and fold in half so it shows half of their face and body. They can then draw or paint the other half in a way that conveys who they are (athletic, reader, kind, etc).
• Students can share what they created to SeeSaw to add a reflection on how their selfie portrays them to others and how they want to be seen when sharing about themselves online
