Scenario 1: You are viewing this course on a personal computer or a tablet and have not received the school laptop yet.
You will eventually need to switch to the school laptop to ensure it is configured correctly. For now, though, proceed with the computer that you are using to ensure the student's account is activated and the Learning Coach sets up the Canvas Observer account.
Make sure you are using the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser* before proceeding.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the NEXT button to move forward.

Scenario 2: You are viewing this course on a personal computer or a mobile device, and the school laptop has arrived.
Log into the school laptop if you haven't done so already. (Do not log into Canvas yet.)
Open the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser on the school laptop. (Chrome and Microsoft Edge are recommended for Canvas training to ensure all tasks can be completed without issue. Either Chrome or Edge is required when students begin their assignments. Both browsers are installed on the school laptop. Screenshots of the browsers' icons are shown further down this page.)
Type the following web address for the onboarding course in the address field of the browser window on the school laptop:

Scenario 3: You are already viewing this course on the school laptop.
Option A: You are already using the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser

Option B: You are not using Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser:

Scenario 4: You are on a mobile phone and do not have access to a computer.
You will continue onboarding on the mobile device for a short period. The school computer is on its way and will be required after you reach a certain point in the Canvas training course.
A set of mobile-specific instructions have been prepared for you. Just follow the instructions for mobile phones when that option is provided.
