STEP 1 -- Go to UVA's website
Click the following link to navigate to our school website. A screenshot of the UVA home page is shown below.

From this point forward, you will switch back and forth between two browser windows -- e.g., this window and UVA's website -- so you can read the instructions on this onboarding course page and can perform the steps on the other webpage. Use the method required by your phone to view your open browser windows.
STEP 2 -- Go to the Login Page
a. Click the Hamburger button
(circled in red below)
b. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Canvas for Parents
(Circled below in the partial screenshot)
The page that opens will look like the screenshot below.
STEP 3. Log in
Enter your email address in the UVA Parent/Learning Coach Email field
Enter your password* in the UVA Parent/Learning Coach Password field
*You created your password when you created the Observer account earlier in the onboarding course. Contact the Learning Coach Support team if you forgot your password. (Contact information is at the bottom of this page.)
At this point, you are in your Canvas Observer account, and you have landed on the Canvas Homepage! The Homepage looks like your child's Homepage in the Canvas Student account.

You are welcome to browse your Observer account to see how it compares with your child's account but remember to return here to complete the remainder of this section and move forward to "Phase III -- Detailed Learning Coach Training."
