Our wakaf is been renovated that is replacing new singgora tiles. This timber shelter is a replica of a wakaf found in Tumpat portraying the vernacular architecture of Pattani. Its three-tiered roof with different pitches is a typical architecture form of Southern Thailand and North-Eastern state, Kelantan. It is built from chengal that assured to serve more than two generations of inhabitants. Its structure consisted of 12 posts supporting the roof structure; an array of rafters and battens. The pangkin is 18 inches above the ground, and composed of beams and floor boards. The ridge-ends, known as ekor itik, signified the architecture language of Pattani. This wakaf is built by a team from Kampung Lundang in Kota Baru and led by the late Nik Rashiddin Nik Hussein in 1986. May Allah bless Nik Rashiddin with rewards equal to the pious. Ameen.(Prof. Dr. Ismail bin Said)
