Loews Portofino Bay Hotel will be making repairs to the façade of the hotel from July 28, 2023 – December 2024 to maintain the immersive experience of our Italian village. Renovation work will be done during 9am – 6pm, with potential for work to be done during weekends. These repairs are being done one section at a time and may be visible to guests. Guests can expect noise from time to time.

Non Registered Guests who dine at the LPBH, HRH, LRPR, LSFR, UAH and CBBR and spend a minimum of either $28 (for LPBH) or $25 (for all other valid UOR Hotels) will have their parking validated or discounted.

The hotel's design, an authentic re-creation of the Italian seaside village of Portofino, was the idea and suggestion of film producer Steven Spielberg, who was a consultant for Universal's Islands of Adventure Theme Park.
An elaborate painting technique known as trompe l'oeil was used to paint the exterior of the hotel. This technique involves extremely realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects appear in three-dimensions instead of being a two-dimensional painting.
